The town of Blue Ridge is the center of art in this state. People have fondly called this town as the Switzerland of the South since it is the center where you find a lot of art and craft galleries and where you can enjoy live music performances. Then there is a town on Pine Mountain which is adjacent to the Calloway Gardens resort where you can find beautiful gardens, lakes and golf courses. You can visit the locals in the town proper where you can get a taste of southern cuisine, antique shops and plenty of other local shops. In Calloway Gardens you can find many kinds of accommodations or nearby apartments in LaGrange, GA, which is the city next to this town.
From Savannah, you can drive to Tybee Island which is an island of pure sandy beaches and sand dunes. There are many water activities that you can enjoy here in this 22 square mile island, like sailing and fishing and you can also have many land activities as well. Or if you don’t want to do these activities you can simply enjoy the beach and watch the beautiful view from the island.
If you want to go trail hiking through the Cohutta Mountains of Georgia you can follow the Panther Creek Trail for a great hiking adventure with your friends. Along the way you can enjoy the sight of breath taking waterfalls flowing in multiple tiers to a singular pool of crisp, clear water below. If you want to spend time away from the noise of city life, then this is a great place to enjoy peace and quiet amid the relaxing sound of the waterfalls. The many campsites around would be a great place to enjoy the place with your friends.
Providence Canyon is Georgia’s own version of the Grand Canyon which is located within the Providence National Park. The rock formations are very colorful too look at and very striking especially during the summer months. You can do rock climbing in these canyons.
